Tiffany Dupont, Head of Air Freight at IFB's Lyon office, has recently added a new string to her bow: The transport of live animals. At the beginning of 2024, she received her LAR (Live Animal Regulation) certificate from the Air France Freight School. This training entitles her to manage the transport of live animals by air.

Since then, IFB Lyon has received many requests from travellers who want to transport their beloved pet in their new life. The latest: An Akita Inu called Raya. His owners decided to change their lives and settle on La Réunion.

From the Isère department in France, they took Raya to the IFB office in St Laurent de Mûre, just a few minutes from Lyon airport. Tiffany was able to label the IATA box that Raya's owners had previously purchased and deposit the food rations that had been prepared for the trip. After a tour of the IFB office, which everyone enjoyed, it was time for the Akita to say goodbye to everyone and fly off.

With a transit time of about 2 days, including an 11-hour flight, Raya l'Akita arrived at the Saint-Denis airport in good shape.
